• What inspired you to write your latest book?
A lot was going on in my head one day, and writing has always been an outlet for me. This time, it was the sexual tension in my body, and I just randomly started writing a scene. By the time I finished it and reflected on it, I decided to transform this one scene into an entire book and began working on Revenge & Redemption.
• What is your favorite book/genre to read?
I only recently discovered dark romance, but I really love to read anything. From Stephen King to Sylvia Day and everything in between.
• What themes do you find yourself returning to in your work?
This is my second book, but the first to make it to publication, and I have noticed I like mixing action with spicy romance. My goal is to strengthen my skills across all areas of romance, from action, thriller, and suspense to dark.
• How do you handle writer’s block?
Whenever I struggle to finish or write a scene, I take a step back and remember a quote from Stephen King: “If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.” I find a lot of inspiration in the way I write and develop plot from those who are mastering it.
• What do you hope readers take away from your stories?
I hope my readers see that everyone has darkness inside them, but it is those who embrace the light that are worthy of redemption. No matter who you are or what your life has been like up until this point, you have power within you to change it. To become stronger.
• What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received as a writer?
The best piece of advice? Do it for yourself. What you are creating is not for everyone, and that’s okay. Do it because it makes you beam with pride and an uncontrollable smile that lights up your face every time you look at your creation.
• If you could meet any character from your books, who would it be and why?
I think the character I would most want to meet is Amity Meadows. She is young, smart, and so much fun to be around, as her personality shines bright no matter what. She is based on a friend of mine who always seems to have the best outlook on life, and she always makes you feel like anything is possible.
• Where can readers find your books? Where can they follow you online?
I currently have them for sale on KDP/Amazon in both eBook and paperback formats. I plan to expand into audio and other platforms to ensure my books are accessible to everyone.
They can follow me on Facebook. Instagram, and Author Central on Amazon @K.Cameron.Author
